Nisha's Reflections Part 5

AND THAN WE FINALLY ARRIVED AT THE BUKIT TIMAH RAILWAY STATION which was at some deserted place out of any human civilization and it was scary to drive in not me of course , but for Amantha as the road was very narrow as it was a one-way street. Anyway I took pics of the railway tracks! DONT STARE! MAYBE COZ I SERIOUSLY NEVER KNEW THERE WERE RAILWAY TRACKS IN SINGAPORE =X Ignore that, moving on there's more pics below of my four groupies standing and posing on a bench, Amantha being the face of the railway station =p, Charlotte posing alongside with the empty railway tracks and ya Charlotte and Zenn posing with the stick like thingy =/ Anyone knows what its called? And i should say the only thing with life( other than us of course) in that deserted place was the potted plants and thus there's a pic of that below and finally a side view picture of Amantha's car (: READ ON!

SOMETHING INTERESTING ABOUT THIS STATION: Interestingly although its called a railway station it is now only used for crossings and not for boarding of passengers or collection of cargo which explains why this place is so deserted and ulu. Something interesting that happens in this station daily would be the exchange of tokens which serve as proof of authority for the train to proceed further from Bukit Timah. How this happens would be that a worker on the train would throw a key packed in a bag to a staff on the platform and the station master would then return a new key token in a bag to another worker on the train. Later these tokens would be sent to the relevant authorities for immigration purposes. How people actually know this station exists? Answer: The classic cast iron bridge above Bukit Timah Road and Dunearn Road. A pic of that bridge is in one of my earlier reflection posts.
